1. Natural lighting where possible

If make up and hair artists are happy with the natural lighting in the room, keep the lights turned off. Lighting can make a huge difference in how your video looks. Where possible, choose a space with lots of natural light for getting ready, and try to keep clutter to a minimum. These small changes create a XXXXXXXX.

3. Communicate openly with us

To ensure that we capture all the special moments of your day, it's essential to communicate openly with us aboutany specific moments or surprises. 4. Include personal vows or letter readings

If you’re open to it, write and read personal vows or exchange letters on the day of your wedding. Personal words add a unique layer to your film and help tell the story of your relationship. These are the moments you’ll cherish and it is a really nice way for the bride and grooms voice to both be included in your film and not just repeating after the vicar/registrar which makes the audio harder to use.

5. Be selective on who you have do your readings as this is a lovely way for this person to be included in your film

If you have a loved one do a reading, ask them to say a couple of sentences before the reading...those sound bites are more likely to be of value, emotion and sentiment.

6. Do not use mobile phones/tablets during readings and speeches

These present a glare on the person talking. Our suggestion would be to write readings and speeches down on paper.

7. Golden hour

This is the time before sunset, when the light is soft and warm, creating a beautiful atmosphere and the most flattering natural light for film and photos. As ‘golden hour’ is not always guaranteed, we would always recommend taking 10-15 minutes out earlier in your day. This also gives you some time alone for a few minutes!

If you are having a band, we suggest having the last song played in the first set something that will get everyone, including you both back onto the dance floor so we can capture those final moves before we leave!
